If the club type is "open", you can request to join the club and you will be automatically approved.To find the perfect fit, you can use the filters at the top to search for clubs by type (open/closed), language, or name of the club (if you already know the name of a club you wish to join). You can search for a suitable club to join by going to the clubs tab and looking through the list of clubs to see if there are any clubs available to join. You don't have to create a club in order to be in one. This can be changed later, see Roles within a Club Join an existing Club Join an existing Club
If you create a club, you will automatically be assigned as the Leader.
Closed means that others who might want to join your club will first need to be approved. You can choose whether you want your club to be an open club or a closed club. You can add a description for your club and write whatever you feel best describes the type of club you wish it to be. You can also choose different photos or "emblems" - this is a type of profile picture for the club. You can then enter a club name and set a club language (this is the preferred speaking language for members of the club). 
Then click the "Create Club" button at the bottom of the screen. To create a club, go to the Clubs tab of the Friends screen (clasped hands symbol at the bottom of the screen).
The points that you collect are called Wayfinders. You can leave a club after you have joined. You may be a club by yourself if you wish. You must be a minimum of level 20 in the game in order to join a club. Further, for this type of 5-star goal, only the points that you have collected count toward your 5-star goal total. The task will say "Collect Order's Wayfinders in the "Order's Chest" mini-event." Any Wayfinders you collect during the mini-event will apply to both your club's total and to your own 5-star goal total. The name of the task will be "Common Cause". Occasionally an event will have a 5-star goal of collecting a certain number of Wayfinders. 
When this mini-event is going on, you are required to be in a Club in order to participate in the mini-event. Clubs are linked to the mini event " Order's Chest".
